We consider active participation in the local community an important part of our outreach efforts. All benefit the better we know them and the better they know us.

In that spirit we speak at different forums to create a true portrait about the South Asian community. Along the way, we dispel myths and disseminate information about our positive contribution to the U.S. society. Not all South Asian women are oppressed, and neither are all South Asians the “model minority”.

Within the South Asian community itself there is a surprising level of ignorance and/or denial about the issues. We create a forum where men and women of all language groups, religions and generations can get together and discuss issues of pan-ethnic interest.
